Young Pathfinders is a hands-on wilderness skills camp designed for teens who want to develop confidence, resilience, leadership, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world. Campers learn by doing through engaging activities led by experienced instructors in a safe, supportive environment. We believe that spending time outdoors builds confidence, problem-solving skills, responsibility, and teamwork. Rather than simply teaching survival techniques, we encourage campers to develop self-reliance, respect for nature, and perseverance through hands-on experiences.

What Campers Will Learn

Throughout the week, campers will gain practical outdoor skills, including:

  • Shelter building

  • Fire starting using primitive and modern methods

  • Navigation with map and compass

  • Water sourcing and purification

  • Knot tying and rope skills

  • Wilderness first aid basics

  • Camp cooking

  • Tool and knife safety

  • Wildlife awareness and tracking

  • Team-building and leadership challenges

  • Leave No Trace outdoor ethics

No prior outdoor experience is necessary.
